Security Officer

What You’ll Do: 

• Comprehensive Security Programs
  • Design, implement, and sustain comprehensive security initiatives, including Information Security, to safeguard Robins Financial Credit Union’s employees, members, data, and assets.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Create and conduct security awareness programs to educate employees and members on security best practices and how to recognize and report security threats.
• Threat Monitoring and Response
  • Proactively monitor and address potential threats to privacy, security, and integrity of member-sensitive information, ensuring rapid and effective responses.
  • Investigate suspected crimes on Credit Union property, report unsafe conditions to management, and liaise with law enforcement, filing necessary reports on criminal activity.
  • Work closely with the Risk Department to identify and mitigate fraudulent activities, conducting investigations and recommending preventive measures.
• Physical and Technological Security
  • Conduct thorough physical security evaluations at all locations, providing strategic recommendations to enhance security measures.
  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and testing of all security and controlled access systems, including alarms, keys, magnetic access, and cameras, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Stay current with emerging security technologies and trends, recommending and implementing new tools and processes to enhance the Credit Union’s security posture.
  • Manage and monitor access control systems to ensure only authorized personnel have access to sensitive areas and information.
• Crisis and Incident Management
  • Assist in organizing and managing responses to criminal activities such as robberies and natural disasters.
  • Support the preparation of Bond/Insurance claims related to property damage, member incidents, and other security-related matters.
• Reporting and Communication
  • Regularly update Senior Management and the Board of Directors with detailed reports on the status and effectiveness of the Security Program.
  • Assist with internal and external audits related to security and compliance, providing necessary documentation and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Training and Collaboration
  • Work with the Training Department to develop and maintain a comprehensive security training curriculum for all staff members.
  • Provide exceptional service both internally and externally, ensuring timely and professional responses to all Member Service areas. 

• Special Projects and Quality Service Delivery
  • Undertake and complete special projects as assigned by the Risk Manager, contributing to the overall security strategy of the Credit Union.
