Job Overview
This individual will be responsible for the layout and design of customer projects for manufacturing.
Role And Responsibilities
Process customer projects for design/layout for best manufacturing principles.
Layout customer drawings for processing on lasers, punch, waterjet, and press breaks.
Work with project managers to ensure customer requirements are met.
Ensure proper document flow in a timely fashion to other areas of the organization for both internal and external customers.
Drive / participate in process improvement activities for manufacturing.
Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications And Education Requirements
Basic manufacturing principles in sheet metal.
Blueprint reading skills.
Strong background in Solidworks or other 3-D Software.
Fluent in Microsoft Excel, Office, and Outlook.
Effective in developing and maintaining relationships.
Highest level of ethical principles and standards.
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to lead multiple functions through effective planning and organizing.
Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to influence others.
High level of creativity.
Preferred Skills
Ideal candidate will have some experience with fabrication or machining.
Prefer to have individual to be able to read and interpret drawings.
Good references with excellent work attendance and attitude.
