Drivers in Training

Robinson Transportation Inc is looking for Drivers to join our team in the Murphysboro and Carbondale area for the 2024-2025 year. Paid Training starts in June of 2024. We are looking for safe drivers with reliable and professional driving record. The rate of pay starts at $40 per route which is up to 2 hours. There are at least 2 routes per scheduled work day available. There is potential to earn more money by doing trips before, after, and in between routes at $21 per hour. Those who already have a CDL have the potential to make $92 ($46 per route 2 hours or less route) a day. There is a $1000 sign on bonus for those completing CDL training after 90 days employment upon completing 30 hours of training and licensing. There is a $2000 sign on for those already with a CDL and all endorsements after 90 days of employment. We offer paid holidays, dental insurance, life insurance, and vision insurance.

Summary of Position: The driver will be responsible for transporting students to and from school safely.

Duties:
Transport students to and from school safely and promptly.

• Transport the most precious cargo in a timely manner.
• Keep logs of time and miles spent
• Maintain a professional appearance while driving.
• Follow all State and Federal regulations for operating a commercial vehicle.
• Comply with delivery rules and techniques (i.e., timeliness, accuracy, quality, and efficiency)
• Operate vehicle in a safe manner consistent with the requirements of the state and federal governments.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager or assistant manager to increase productivity and improve transportation services.
• Must want to work, show up on time, and have reasonable form of transportation to and from the job location. Park outs possible depending on location and other factors.
