Project Estimator

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Estimator to join our team. As a Project Estimator, you will play a crucial role in accurately assessing project costs and providing estimates for construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills and a background in construction estimating.

Responsibilities:
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to determine project scope and estimate costs
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimates
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs
- Utilize industry-standard software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to create accurate estimates
- Review and analyze bids from subcontractors to ensure competitiveness and accuracy
- Negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve the best possible value for the project
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and provide cost control recommendations as needed
- Collaborate with the construction management team to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles and techniques
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Strong negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred)
- Proven experience in construction estimating or related field
- Familiarity with industry-standard software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and methods
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
