Our team:
The four teams (US East, US West, Switzerland/South Africa, Germany/China) of GF Manufacturing IT own and support all production-related IT applications of the Diagnostics business unit. We strive for strong partnering, with our colleagues from the business and our strategic vendors.
The position:
As part of the GF Manufacturing IT Germany / China team, you will be accountable for the whole life cycle of the systems you own. You will collaborate closely and effectively with business partners and participate in relevant decision-making committees. On the IT side, you will partner with IT colleagues across Diagnostics, Group and Pharma to ensure a GxP-compliant operation of the systems and to guarantee the availability of the systems in accordance with the agreed service levels.
Your main responsibilities
Create, design and operate solutions, procedures and processes that meet complex and ambiguous business and/or technological requirements, while observing defined financial requirements
Evaluate alternative informatics technologies where required and research industry best practices and emerging trends
Maintain the valid status of IT systems
Analyse, eliminate and document events (incidents, problems and changes

You have a Bachelor's degree in computer science or an equivalent education with at least 5 years of professional experience in a major, global organization and bring the following proficiencies and skills
Broad and strong experience creating and designing IT systems supporting Manufacturing and/or Quality Control (such as Manufacturing Execution Systems, Chromatography Data Systems, Distributed Control Systems, and/or Production Scheduling solutions), ideally in the pharmaceutical industry
Innovative and a strategic mind-set with clear goal and value orientation
Very good communication skills, able to forge relationships with a wide range of colleagues across the globe
Strong team player, with a perspective that goes beyond his/her immediate area of responsibility
Experience in working in a regulated environment and with Computer System Validation
Profound ITIL knowledge, ideally with certification
Industry recognized certifications in the relevant area a plus
Fluent English reading, writing, listening and speaking skills
Profound experience in project management
Flexibility to travel for up to 20% of the time
Flexibility to work outside of normal working hours
