This position is for the Rochester School Corporation Head Nurse.
Job Summary
Provide health services and health education to students and staff at the high school and to supervise health services for all corporation students and staff.
Qualifications
Qualifications for the specific position and job related references will be utilized to select the best candidate. Applicants must have a current B.S. degree in nursing and hold a current license as a Registered Nurse. In addition, First Aid and CPR certification should be current. It is desired that this person has nursing experience with knowledge of school health programs. Computer literacy is desirable along with strong oral and written communication skills. Effective organization and time-management skills are required.
Working Conditions
The Head Nurse typically works 190 days per year (180 student days, plus 10 additional days). The work day is typically from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The nurse works closely with counselors, administrators, and other building nurses to insure that health services exist for students at all times.
