Detailed Job Description
Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Marketing, the Assistant Director is an integral part of the Enrollment Marketing team that leverages creativity and technology to educate, inform, and engage prospective students, parents, counselors, and others on the benefits and value of an RIT experience.
The Assistant Director of Enrollment Marketing leverages social and other platforms to capture the experiences and voice of the RIT community for the purposes of storytelling. In coordination with the brand positioning of the university, the Assistant Director is talented in seeing opportunities to share personalities, experiences, and outcomes that differentiate RIT in the competitive enrollment marketplace. Coordinating with the university's social media team, the Assistant Director will use management tools, content calendars, and analytics to tell RIT's story on social media. Additionally, she/he works closely with the division's ambassador groups in Undergraduate Admissions and Graduate Enrollment Services to facilitate their engagement with prospective students.
In addition, the Assistant Director uses information to create marketing hypotheses, perform campaigns to test hypotheses, and optimize learning to generate deliver multi-channel communications (print, email, SMS, web) to external market audiences (first-year, transfer, graduate, international students) and targeted influencer populations (parents, school counselors, transfer counselors, agents) to achieve enrollment outcomes for key recruitment areas
The Assistant Director is a member of a small and agile team that reports directly to the Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Marketing with dotted line responsibility to the university's social media team.

Each year, the Enrollment Management division works to enroll approximately 5,000 new students and provides financial aid information and services to more than 12,000 students.

Required Minimum Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years experience in marketing or related area
- Strong writing, editorial, and communication skills
- Knowledge of trends, best practices, and technology in social media, digital engagement, content creation and marketing
- In-depth knowledge of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Snapchat, LinkedIn, and more
- Experience with social media advertising
- Creativity
- Experience analyzing performance analytics
- Able to demonstrate a knowledge of social media customer service
