Detailed Job Description
The Assessment, Evaluation and Accreditation Coordinator position is to assist the Physician Assistant Program and the College of Health Sciences and Technology (CHST) to effectively maintain academic quality and implement assessment and evaluation methods designed to meet accreditation standards.
The Coordinator is responsible for working with the Physician Assistant Program and CHST Program Directors and Department/School Heads on the continuing accreditation efforts and implementing assessment plans. The Coordinator is responsible for assistance needed to write and submit routine accreditation-related reports. Reporting directly to the Director of the Physician Assistant (PA) Program, the Coordinator will work closely with the PA Program for the program accreditation reports, meanwhile the Coordinator will collaborate and assist other CHST Program Directors, Department/School Heads and senior leadership to develop strategy, set goals, conduct survey and data collection, and develop/implement procedures to maintain program(s) accreditation.
Program Accreditation Assessment and Evaluation

Supports the PA Program Director in developing, managing and implementing comprehensive program assessment to ensure programmatic effectiveness in accordance with accreditation standards

Coordinates all programmatic accreditation and assessment activities in collaboration with the PA Program Director

Assists Programs with implementation and modification of the university Program Level Outcomes Assessment Plans (PLOAP) and annual program assessment reports

Assists the PA Program with the collection, management and analysis of data, assessment methods and results to inform and facilitate decision-making.

Supports the PA Program Director in developing and refining all aspects of program level outcomes assessment, including but not limited to, benchmarks, metrics, and effective approaches to using results to guide decisions and changes to improve the program

Collaborates with the PA Program Director and program faculty, to prepare and present periodic and annual reviews and reports

Provides ongoing support and appropriate training to program faculty and PA Program Director to maintain knowledge of accreditation requirements, including compliance with accreditation standards

Assists the PA Program Director with assessment processes including monitoring, measuring, and documenting that students have met the programs' expectations

Assists the PA Program Director and principal programs faculty with the summative evaluation process

Assists with applications for provisional accreditation for newly proposed programs

Collaborates with Department/School Heads and other CHST Program Directors in developing, managing and implementing program assessment in accordance with accreditation standards

Collaborates with college, university departments, including but not limited to, the Office of Institutional Research, Registrar and Admissions to obtain data and appropriate guidance/support needed for assessment activities and accreditation reports

Investigates new data analysis tools, computer systems and practices and make recommendations for improvement of processes

Supervises the Data Analyst; Develops and performs annual performance appraisals and plans of work

Maintain confidentiality of all programmatic documents, reports and processes
PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES
In collaboration with program directors, develop, review, and revise, as necessary, the mission statements of programs
PROGRAM, COLLEGE & INSTITUTIONAL SERVICE

Participate in CHST program meetings, retreats, program gatherings and events, as applicable

Participate in ongoing continuous assessment and other program accreditation work, when applicable
-
Participate in committee assignments, at the College of Health Sciences and Technology and University level, when applicable
-
Serve as college representative on accreditation-related committees, as applicable.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree or equivalent experience
-
Three plus years experience in the following areas: leading/managing accreditation-related activities, data analysis, program/outcome assessment and/or evaluation, or equivalent; preference to those with these skills connected to medical education and professional training programs

Strong organizational, analytical and time management skills
-
Knowledge of assessment methods, instruments, benchmarking and best practices
-
Synthesis and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data
-
Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks
-
Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work with faculty, staff, administrators, students and accreditors

Ability to prepare and present reports effectively
-
Advanced verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work independently and achieve deliverables with minimal supervision
