Job Summary:
Independent School District #535 is seeking a Rule 3 Lead Teacher for the Licensed child care center at the Rochester Alternative Learning Center.

Job Responsibilities:

Child Care ESP will attend to children at the school site.
Care for children and observe and monitor children's play activities in the child care center.
Implement Early Head Start lesson plans.
Sanitize toys and play equipment.
Assist children in health and personal habits.
Read to children and provide developmentally appropriate activities.
Perform tasks within the level of responsibility of position as assigned by the Team Leader.
Assist Head Start teacher with observations regarding the children’s development.
Supervise student workers in the child care room.

Qualifications:

Lead Teacher Certified for Rule 3 Licensed Child Care - required
Current in pediatric CPR and First Aid certification.
Previous licensed child care experience required.
Minimum requirement of 48 college semester credits or a two-year degree. Please include transcript(s) with application.
Data collection
Flexibility and the ability to work as a cooperative team member.
Good organizational skills.
Regular, on-time attendance is required.
Physical requirement: must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Stooping and bending required.
24 hours of In-Service Training required annually.
