What are the responsibilities and job description for the Large Brake Operator - 2nd shift position at Rochester Public Schools?
Operation of various brake presses. Responsible for the production of parts in a safe manner following the routing described and the specifications required by the blueprint.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: |
|
· Perform variety of machine setups and production involving forming, shaping and perforating. · Report labor and job data accurately. · Maintain quality, safety and efficiency. · Maintain clean and neat work area. · Perform other jobs within the department or plant as required by supervision. |

|
EDUCATION: |
|
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Satisfactory completion of Crenlo’s Press Brake Training course is required. |
|
|
|
WORK EXPERIENCE: |
|
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial. Previous experience as a press operator is desired. |
|
|
|
SKILLS: |
|
A good command of the English language is required, both written and spoken. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required. Ability to read and understand route sheets and blueprints and check parts to print. |

|
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: |
|
Must be able to physically perform the essential functions of the job for normal setup and operation of press. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 24 lbs., frequently up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs. Typically requires standing on a regular basis and walking and stooping occasionally. Must be able to handle parts for inspection, stack parts and move parts to next operation and/or work station. Specific vision requirements include depth perception and peripheral vision. |

WORKING CONDITIONS: |
|
Operation of brake presses is required. Typically requires the use of a forklift and hoist. Hearing protection, safety glasses and steel-toed shoes with metatarsal protection are required. |
