What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graphic Designer and Marketing Coordinator position at Rochester Software Associates, Inc.?

You will create all graphic designs for RSA and coordinate the Marketing Department's tactical activities. Grow with us and put your own mark on the role, working on a variety of projects across the spectrum of graphic design and content communication - digital/web, video, print, email campaigns, brochures, product support, brand identity, and more, as needed. You also will work with internal customers across several departments. Position is a blend of design (70%) and marketing coordination (30%).
Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Graphic Design, New Media Design, Fine Arts or related field.
Responsibilities

  • Support RSA's marketing, including:
  • Graphic design (online, print, icons, ads, presentations, and other support)
  • Video production and editing
  • Email marketing
  • Web/email information response and tracking
  • Trade show coordination
  • Social media monitoring and updating.
  • Develop, design, execute, and manage:
  • Production, printing, and posting of online and print advertising
  • Brochures, case studies, and other marketing materials
  • Icons for use in RSA's software products, newsletters and other marketing collateral and presentation materials
  • Assist in the implementation of marketing programs through design, coordination activities and administrative duties such as:
  • Tracking and reporting
  • List and database management
  • Keeping marketing materials organized and current
  • Video creation and editing (Adobe Premiere Pro).
  • Website updates (update existing pages, create new pages, manage user accounts) using CMS system.
  • Interface with internal departments on a variety of projects.
  • Support Product Management with graphics ranging from icons used in our software to online and print designs that support new product releases, features, and workflows.
  • Support Sales for events and partner and customer activities with presentations and materials.
  • Support HR with marketing for recruiting activities such as career fairs.
  • Understand and uphold RSA's brand messaging and identity standards.
  • Develop, utilize, and maintain well-defined processes with a continuous effort to streamline, ensure consistency, quality, and operational efficiency across all projects.
  • Work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service and positive relationships with customers, coworkers, and vendors.

Skills

  • Superior design skills and strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator with demonstrable, innovative work that solves business challenges and communicates abstract concepts.
  • Ability to persuasively and clearly present design concepts, anticipate and respond to changes in a professional and courteous manner, and demonstrate proficiency in communicating and understanding brand guidelines for effective execution.
  • Experience working in a Windows environment, including Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Word).
  • Experience with video creation, production, editing and posting.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills. Proofreading and copy-editing experience highly desirable.
  • Knowledge and experience with social media posting and tracking
  • Highly organized and demonstrate strong attention to detail, balancing accuracy with timeliness.
  • Effective coordination, time management and prioritization to manage tasks, meet or establish deadlines and maintain schedules, while remaining flexible without compromising quality.
  • Independent self-starter with ability to work autonomously or as a team member.
  • Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaborate with all levels of co-workers, customers, and vendors to ensure work is aligned with objectives and deadlines are met.
  • Ability to research, proactively solve problems and make decisions using best judgment when details are unavailable.
  • Ability to learn new systems, as needed.
  • Remain current on industry best practices, trends, and technology related to the field of graphic design.

Experience

Two to five years in graphic design or related field with a strong online portfolio of work and a track record of excellence.
