Rock Supremacy, LLC is looking for an experienced Construction Contract Specialist. Job Overview

Rock Supremacy is a heavy construction company based in Bend, OR. We specialize in rockfall mitigation, drilling, shotcrete applications, tunnel rehabilitation, landslide remediation and slope stabilization.

This is the perfect position for an individual who has experience working in construction, specifically contracting.

Compensation and Benefits:

This is a salaried position with a range from $60K- $64K (DOE), with the opportunity for bonuses.

The benefits package with be completely customized to the candidate, it can include health insurance, 401K with profit sharing, paid vacation, and dental insurance.

Responsibilities for Contract Specialist

  • Prepare contractual agreements using current research methods and a knowledge of a client's needs and ability to fulfill its requirements
  • Ensure that the terms of contractual agreements written in language that is legally binding and in accordance with the desires of the client
  • Assist the company to fulfill the terms of or to terminate contracts on mutually amicable terms
  • Review contract terms and conditions to verify that they are in compliance with company policies and all applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Self-monitor progress according to the schedule of completion to submit drafts and documents in a timely manner
  • Proofread, edit, and fact-check legal documents for accuracy and consistency.
  • Build and maintain project schedules with MS Project or equivalent.
  • Create, customize, edit and format company templates and submittals.

Qualifications for Contract Specialist

  • This Position calls for full-time work M-F at the headquarter office in Bend, Oregon.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in construction.
  • Background as paralegal or with experience working directly with contract law.
  • Knowledge of current and legally binding contractual language and terminology
  • Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting is a definite plus!
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and suggest solutions for problems, customer complaints, and client concerns.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including an impeccable mastery of the English language
  • Clear adherence to company policies and procurement rules and regulations.
  • Good organization skills and the ability to multitask on several projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of negotiation best practices, both in-person and in written form, that considers cultural norms and the client's best interests.

Other Requirements:

· Ability to be a Notary for the State of Oregon.

· High level of experience in Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel, and Outlook), and Adobe Acrobat required.

· Diligent, organized follow through with assigned tasks.

· Excellent attention to detail, proofreading and grammar skills

· Flexibility and ability to balance multiple tasks and competing priorities

· Self-starter with the ability to finish tasks without close supervision

· Tracking, calendaring, and follow-up skills

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $60,000.00 - $64,000.00 per year
