Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Finance, this position will provide support with the annual budget process including attending budget meetings with the various Laboratories and Departments, provide support for the Finance Board Committees, prepare and track various financial analytics for use by Senior Administration, and provide operational support to the Finance office.
There is close collaboration with other members in the Finance office, especially the Grants Administration Department as well as other Departments within the University.
This role will assist with preparation and oversight, along with the Assistant VP Finance and the VP of Finance of the University's $437Million Budget.
This position's key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Bachelor's degree and 5 years prior administrative experience supporting executive management required. Must have proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, as well as financial/analytical experience. Strong organizational and communication (written and oral) skills, the ability to multi-task effectively, and a professional demeanor are necessary. Must be able to successfully manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet inflexible deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Must have a willingness and the ability to juggle numerous projects simultaneously and respond to changing priorities. Must have excellent discretion, judgment, tact, initiative, creativity, critical thinking and organizational skills, and self-motivation. The ability to anticipate and assess situations accurately and recommend/implement effective courses of action is required. Must have the ability to work as part of a team to accomplish broader goals and objectives.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are essential. Must have the highest level of integrity, intellectual capability, professionalism, honesty, and loyalty. Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (preferably Mac OS) applications and other electronic applications for organization and project management required.
