Job Description

The Marketing Manager expands the Rocket IT brand by facilitating cohesive communication that represents our core values, both in the community and through online channels.  The Marketing Manager helps Rocket IT hit market penetration goals by maintaining and executing the marketing plan. The Marketing Manager must be able to guide marketing for client and candidate referrals, oversee coordination of events, and be responsible for the direction of public relations, social media, and website maintenance. 

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve Rocket IT's marketing strategy
• Attract inbound inquiries from prospective clients within our target market(s)
• Support and enhance outbound business development efforts with effective communications through website, social media, events, and collateral
• Support long-term retention of existing clients
• Support team member recruitment and retention with relevant communications
• Support search for new and expanded market opportunities
• Podcast / Blog
  • Produce and promote Rocket IT podcast
  • Lead the development of blog and social media content
• Regularly evaluate marketing processes for effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
• Build a functional marketing engine to support business objectives for sales, client retention, and employee recruitment
• Work with business development team aid in lead generation requirements
• Develop marketing plans that consistently fill our target employee and prospect pipelines
• Conduct weekly meetings with direct reports and supervisor
• Promote and support Rocket IT purpose, mission, values and objectives

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree (business or IT preferred)
• Minimum 5-7 years marketing and/or communications experience
• 2+ years management experience and/or leadership training
• Genuine love of and excitement for technology
• Experience in multiple markets and/or breaking into new markets a plus
