Content Creator

Minimum Qualifications  

• 2 years of experience in a social media, content, or marketing role
• Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud, especially video editing and motion graphics software like Adobe Premiere
• Knowledge of design techniques and principles
• Knowledge of media channels and how to optimize each channel for a designated audience
• Knowledge of Windows and macOS environments 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, design, communications, or a related discipline

Job Summary 

As the Content Creator, you will become a multi-skilled creative and marketing professional who will support the creative and Public Relations (PR) team in developing content for social media, blogs, press releases, and other marketing collateral for the Rocket Community Fund. 

Responsibilities 

• Collaborate with a team of designers, strategists, and PR managers to develop multimedia content (articles, videos, animations, and more) for diverse marketing channels including social media, newsletters, blog posts, and PR
• Build, design, format, and edit in multiple platforms to create clear and meaningful communications 
• Leverage design techniques, tools, and principles to create clear messaging through multiple media channels 
• Coordinate and publish social media posts and other communications in line with an editorial calendar
• Stay up to date on social media, design, and marketing trends to ensure content is constantly evolving

The Community Sponsorship team creates and supports catalytic events in Detroit to build community, promote local culture and contribute to Detroit's economic growth.
