Job Summary

As a project manager at Rocket55, you are responsible for ensuring client projects and requests are completed accurately and on time, operating in the most effective way to help drive your team’s and our customers’ success. You are responsible for ensuring the delivery of first-rate work in the most seamless way possible.

You’ll need to think critically about your project management approach and have a fundamental understanding of the request(s) to ensure proper completion. This includes utilizing excellent communication skills to know how to effectively communicate with team members - knowing which channels are most appropriate to leverage. Being able to prioritize tasks for the team via workload management is crucial for success in this role.

It’s imperative you understand how to navigate ambiguous situations and creatively problem-solve. This requires the ability to identify risks ahead of time and understand how to proactively mitigate issues for the team.

Responsibilities

Core Performance:

  • Manages projects and recurring requests for assigned clients and internal departmental projects.
  • Breaks down problems and tasks into actionable steps, setting reasonable deadlines, and ensuring accountability.
  • Coordinates efficiently across teams to deliver integrated work.

Workload Management

  • Balances team member workloads, manages resources, and pivots to urgent tasks while maintaining workload capacity.

Support And Quality Assurance

  • Ensures high quality deliverables through proper QA.
  • Completes or delegates content entry and supports execution tasks.

Budget And Scope Management

  • Monitors budget, reports overspending, and assists with time tracking to provide visibility into team time use.

Team Leadership

  • Understands team members’ needs and communication styles for effective work assignment.
  • Fosters a proactive, detail-oriented, resilient, flexible, and client-service-driven environment.

Communication And Collaboration

  • Communicates professionally and promptly to provide necessary information and next steps.
  • Facilitates meetings, sets agendas, captures notes, and ensures detailed follow-ups.
  • Uses critical thinking to determine appropriate communication methods.
  • Shows empathy, respect, and teamwork, contributing to a motivated team environment.

Continuous Improvement

  • Stays updated with industry trends and project management best practices, sharing insights with the team.
  • Evaluates and improves processes for efficiency and brings ideas for company-wide improvements.

Requirements

Required Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience in a previously held project management related position.
  • Ability to listen attentively to team members, stakeholders, and clients to fully understand their needs and concerns.
  • Proven track record of maintaining composure and effectiveness under pressure.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously without compromising quality or deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to convey tasks, requests, and project updates clearly and concisely to various stakeholders.
  • Experience in facilitating meetings, presentations, and discussions to ensure all parties are aligned.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize tasks.
  • Proven ability to anticipate potential issues and take proactive steps to mitigate risks.
  • Strong critical thinking skills to analyze situations and make informed decisions quickly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of web development, digital marketing, or related technical fields to effectively manage digital projects.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, and driving team performance.
  • Experience using project management tools and techniques to keep track of deadlines, deliverables, and resources.
  • Ability to create and maintain detailed project documentation, schedules, and reports.
  • Experience in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project outcomes and efficiency.
  • Previous experience with a project management tool like Wrike or Accelo.
  • Prior knowledge of digital channels such as Google Ads, Google Analytics, Meta/Instagram and Amazon.
