ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under specific direction of the supervisor of maintenance or the department Foreman, plans, explains, coordinates, prioritizes and performs duties necessary to ensure that maintenance duties described within the trade classification job description are carried out. Assumes Foreman's role when Foreman is absence from duty (see Foreman's job description). Performs all duties, activities and requirements of the job description for the classification assigned. Provides secondary leadership role to department Foreman as instructed by the supervisor of maintenance or the department Foreman. Shall assume any other duties as may be delegated by the supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must possess and maintain a Class "B" CDL driver's license. The crew member must be able to proficiently operate backhoe, skid loader, wheel loader. Demonstrates the ability to read, interpret and work from drawings, plans and blueprints. Have basic welding skills, basic construction skills, knowledge of safe work practices with machinery and equipment. This crew member must have the ability to lift 80 pounds on a regular basis and be able to demonstrate physical strength sufficient to perform heavy manual tasks. The repair and maintenance of small engines, welding and fabrication services on vehicles and equipment a plus. Effective verbal and written communication skills are required in the performance of his work
