Pharos Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of rockITdata, is currently seeking a Biostatistician with the following:

Responsibilities: *
- Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
- Reorganize data from primary and secondary sources into formats that can be easily read by either human or machine, create electronic datasets of desired data-fields, link to and develop complex databases.
- Provide expertise in methodology for defining and mapping processes, and defining and evaluating metrics of performance or operational efficiency.
- Use statistical and data mining tools to interpret data sets, paying particular attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics efforts.
- Produce oral and written reports that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.
- Create appropriate documentation that allows stakeholders to understand the steps of the development and assessment processes and duplicate or replicate the analyses.

Qualifications: *
Candidates that do not meet the required qualifications will not be considered.

Master’s Degree or higher in one of the following areas: Statistics, Public Health, or related field. Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in one of the areas listed above must have at least 5 years of relevant Biostatistical experience.
- 2 years experience directly supporting data analytics projects, preferably relating to healthcare delivery, health outcomes data, or data-driven process evaluation.
- 2 years experience directly supporting research projects with hearing and/or balance-related research statistical analyses.
- Experience with determining power and sample size requirements for clinical trials.
- Ability to define, create and maintain electronic databases for collection and analysis of clinical trial data.
- Ability to plan, create, program and manage complex statistical computer databases.
- Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
- Knowledge of data modeling and data visualization tools.
- Ability to define, create and implement data quality assurance software methods, analyzing clinical trial data.
- Assist study team in designing efficient data entry procedures and protocols.
- Perform data extraction and validation.
- Perform data manipulation and transformations required to prepare datasets for analysis, storage, initial analysis, and delivery to users.
- Pilot test use of database and analyses of data; review data collection forms and schedule.
- Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (e.g., Business Objects), statistical software (i.e., STATA, SAS, R), databases (e.g., MySQL, Access), programming (i.e., SQL, XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks).
- Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.
- Possess experience in producing oral and written reports with statistical analyses.
- Basic knowledge of generating process documentation.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize projects.
- Strong focus and quality and timely delivery of work.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
