Rockland Manufacturing, a well-known, respected, family-owned construction equipment manufacturer with an excellent reputation for quality and on-time shipments, is looking for a Freight Accountant to join our team in Bedford, Pennsylvania.
What You’ll Be Doing:
You’ll be responsible for working with our freight, logistics and accounting teams to provide financial information that facilitates decision making related to freight and logistics.
Essential Functions:
- Vouch/Cost invoices related to shipping and transportation
- Documenting financial transactions by entering account information
- Preparing routine asset, liability, revenue and expense entries by compiling and applying basic analytics, making recommendations as indicated
- Reconciling financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account and transaction data
- Facilitating disbursements by verifying documentation
- Assisting in other special projects and accounting operations as needed
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related major. Equivalent combination of education/experience will be considered
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
- Exceptional organizational skills with acute attention to detail
- Quick learner, adaptable, positive attitude
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
