Rockstar Games is currently looking for an Assistant Stage Manager to join the Production Department and support our Performance Capture team in Bethpage, Long Island. The Assistant Stage Manager will work in tandem with the Stage Manager and will be a communication hub between production teams to help manage performance capture shoots.
Assistant Stage Manager responsibilities include overseeing shoot, break, and wrap times for crew and actors while ensuring the set runs smoothly and efficiently. They play a key role in providing any changes and updates on the shoot to the crew and directors in real time.
WHAT WE DO
- The Performance Capture team at Rockstar is responsible for storyboarding, directing, and capturing all live actor data for use in Cinematics and in-game animations.
- As a global Performance Capture team at Rockstar, we collaborate with animators, directors, and artists from around the world, working to the highest standards to produce the substantial range of character animations required for our ground-breaking AAA games.
- We work with bleeding-edge technology to both inform and capture our actors’ movement, facial and audio data to create photo realistic content in our games.
- We fabricate sets, customize hardware, create props, and utilize every tool possible to achieve the highest standards for our shoots.
- We capture the core data that serves as the backbone for story and in-game character animations across all of Rockstar’s titles.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directly manage talent from arrival, through prep and production to wrap.
- Coordinate meetings for crew read throughs, pre-production and post-mortem discussions.
- Assist in shot-list organization ensuring a time-efficient and smooth-running shoot day.
- Prep dailies for actors.
- Create and manage crew schedules and read-throughs.
- Manage talent assignments for dressing rooms, green rooms and postmortems.
- Provide concise times to crew and actors, often setting the pace of shoot.
- Maintain communication between production teams, on set and off.
- Provide real-time scheduling updates, keeping all team members up to date on any changes.
- Coordinate talent and crew breaks.
- Escort talent to and from stages.
- Provide on set script lines for talent (be “on book”).
- Assist in shot scheduling to manage day efficiently.
- Attend all read throughs and rehearsals.
- Stay on top of script changes and communicate them to talent and crew.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Superior time-management skills.
- Ability to multi-task and maintain calm demeanor while under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-starter, comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be someone who is passionate, conscientious, calm under pressure, and works with fastidious care.
- Flexible and able to quickly respond to shifting priorities.
- Ability to maintain a positive outlook at all times.
- Familiarity with video games and production a plus.
