Financial Associate (part-time 20 hours/week)

Deposits - 4 hours/week

❒ Receive checks,ensure church directives for each check are coded correctly

❒ Prepare deposit slips and make deposit

❒ Scan and send to bookkeeper directions for deposit entry into QuickBooks

❒ E-file and index deposits on shared drive

❒ Periodic check to ensure accuracy of QB entries / interface with bookkeeper

Routine Payables - 2 hours/week

❒ Receivebills,ensure amount to be paid is accurate

❒ Ensure accurate account coding against budget categories

❒ Stamp And Secure Authorized Signature To Pay

❒ Scan and send to bookkeeper directions for payment and entry into QB

❒ E-file and index bills on shared drive

❒ Periodic check to ensure accuracy of QB entries / interface with bookkeeper

Monthly and Quarterly Payables & Reconciliations - 4 hrs/month

❒ Ensure monthly and quarterly payments are made to non-billing agencies: UCC
Covenant offerings: OCWM, OGHS, STC, NIN, CF, Disaster Relief Mission partners:
CCC, Wyoming CC, CUE, LaForet

❒ Keep Spreadsheet On Payments Due And Made

❒ Prepare journal entry documents for authorization and to direct bookkeeper: STC,
Reserve accounts, Miscoded expenses or income

❒ Reconcile credit card accounts

❒ Produce cash flow report aligned with accounts payable

Report Generation 4 hrs/month

❒ At close of each month, pull reports from QB and distribute to key leaders

❒ Generate additional reports as necessary

❒ Staff for RMC Treasurer and RMC Finance Committee

Other Duties and Possibilities

❒ Travel is one weekend in June each year to staff RMC Annual Celebration – usually in Grand Junction or Colorado Springs (3 days/2 overnights)

❒ Work from home possible, but will need to travel to office in downtown Denver (west) to pick up checks and bills received by mail.

❒ Very flexible position – works well for a retiree or a stay-at-home parent with necessary skills

❒ Teamwork with staff including Zoom meetings 1-2x/week

❒ Other duties as assigned

❒ Reports to the Conference Minister & CEO of the Rocky Mountain Conference

❒ Must have advanced-level proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks, cloud storage

Salary quoted here based on hourly rate of $25.00/hour. Vacation leave, holidays, and sick leave provided. Fun atmosphere, great and caring colleagues.

COVID-19 considerations:
All visitors to the office who are not fully vaccinated are required to wear a mask. Most staff work from home, so many visits to the office will only be one or two persons. All current staff are vaccinated.

• Denver, CO 80204: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Bookkeeping: 3 years (Preferred)
