What are the responsibilities and job description for the Groundman position at Rocky Mountain Contractors, Inc.?
As directed by the Forman performs groundwork that is required to support crews involved with the installation, rearrangement, maintenance, operation, removal and inspection of outside power/telecom lines. Responsible for understanding, upholding, and promoting CSG’s Critical Success Factors:
1) Safety First!; 2) Financial Success (including operational excellence); 3) Employee Satisfaction (including development and training), and 4) Customer Satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications:
KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
Entry level position requires the ability to operate or willingness to learn to operate various types of heavy equipment as requested by the Foreman. Clears, sets up, and prepares work sites for crews as directed by Foreman. When directed, practices barricading on public highways and public right-of-ways to include the use of warning signs, devices and flagging procedures. Ensures company safety policies and procedures are followed. Must be Union eligible, must join IBEW Local 768 prior to job offer. Prefer Class A Commercial Driver’s License, or ability to obtain. Current Medical Exam card as well as First Aid/CPR Certification are needed.
Job may include travel throughout the state of Montana.
