This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to gain healthcare experience prior to graduate or medical school.

We are looking for a motivated, professional individual to join our fast-paced, multi-specialty office. We are seeking an ophthalmic technician to work closely with our surgeons and optometrists. We are willing to train the right candidate.

As an ophthalmic technician you will be responsible for performing thorough exams on patients, maintaining an optimal clinic flow and ordering clinical supplies. For this position:

  • Excellent customer service and professionalism is a must.
  • You must possess the ability to multi-task while remaining organized and following through with tasks in a timely manner.
  • Ophthalmology technician experience is preferred, but not required.

This is a full time Monday-Friday 40 hour per week position. Boulder is our main location, though travel to our satellite office in Longmont is required.

We need someone who:

  • Can perform the following exam elements: VA, IOP (Goldmann) , OCT, HVF, OPTOS, Pentacam, A-scan, B-scan
  • Has electronic medical records experience
  • Can communicate effectively with patients
  • Has working knowledge of medical terminology
  • Is professional and is a team player
  • Has excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Is dependable, detail oriented, and able to multi-task
  • Can thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Can take direction and work well under the supervision of our lead technician
  • Is a team player who is willing to help out with other duties while not working directly with a doctor. These duties include prior-authorizations and assisting patients with enrolling in co-pay assistance programs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
