What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician-Fargo ($1500 sign-on bonus) position at Roers Development, Construction and Property Management?
The Maintenance Technician performs maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of commercial and residential real estate properties.
A successful Maintenance Technician will demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, a high level of energy, a hands-on approach, and adaptability to work in a fast paced and changing environment. You should be self-confident and organized in your talents and abilities.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Follow and demonstrate Roers’ Core Values of Respect, Opportunity, Partnership, Experience, Expertise and Community when working with team members, customers and our external communities.
- Demonstrate the knowledge and understanding basic maintenance and repair techniques; Wall Repair/Patching, Light Plumbing and Electrical, HVAC, Painting, landscaping, snow removal,
- Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- Ensure third party vendor contracts are completed satisfactorily.
- Demonstrate the ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Ensure the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of commercial and residential properties; Will include some light janitorial responsibilities.
Other Requirements:
- Must have a valid US driver’s license.
- Good written and verbal skills.
- Own and provide basic carpentry tools.
- Knowledge of electrical appliances preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
Education/Experience:
- Proficient in basic maintenance issues and repairs
- Three years’ experience in maintenance or residential/commercial construction or related field
- High School Diploma
