What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Specialist position at Roessel Joy?
A retail franchise is seeking to hire a Payroll Specialist. This position will sit on a team of 4 reporting to a Payroll Supervisor. All payroll processing is performed in ADP WFN. In this seat, you will mostly be doing hourly timesheet processing and hourly payroll processing. The ideal candidate has previous payroll processing experience, payroll systems experience (ADP WFN experience is preferred, but not required), strong Excel and systems skills, and can work in a team environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administer and distribute reports as instructed
- Build and run custom reports
- Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system
- Be the main point of instruction/training contact to employees regarding payroll-related best practices
- Collect and enter data into spreadsheets and the payroll system
- Contact employees via email and phone to obtain timesheet approvals
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc
- Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
- Previous payroll experience
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Proven ability to quickly learn new systems
- Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills
- Payroll software experience preferred
- Microsoft Office Products experience preferred
- Process Biweekly Payroll experience highly desired
