What are the responsibilities and job description for the Daily Housekeeper in Peoria position at Rofflekohn Center?
Busy family in Peoria area in search of a housekeeper to maintain the house on a daily basis.
Please note we have an immunocompromised family member and require all employees and contractors to wear a mask while inside the home. We will provide a supply of masks if needed.
We are searching for someone to perform the following daily duties:
- General cleaning: dusting, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping the floors.
- General tidying of rooms: putting away toys and other items, decluttering and organizing.
- Cleaning the bathrooms, including counters, mirrors, toilets, showers and baths.
- Cleaning the kitchen, including wiping down appliances, counters, sinks and cabinet doors.
- Washing and drying dishes/loading and unloading dishwasher and putting them away.
- Changing bed linens and making the beds.
- Washing, drying, folding and putting away clothes, bed linens, towels, and other family laundry.
- Removing garbage and recycling, including breaking down boxes for the recycling bin.
- Restocking personal items such as toilet paper, tissues, etc.
- Keeping track of cleaning supplies and personal items and letting the family know when they are low and need to be replaced.
- Running errands for the family, e.g. grocery shopping or dropping off dry cleaning and mail.
- Sorting and organizing the mail and packages
- Feeding the cats
- Cleaning out and organizing the pantry and refrigerator regularly
Ideally would also be willing to clean the cat litter box.
Requirements:
- Reliable and professional
- Able to provide a minimum of 3 good references from prior employment
- Fluent in English and eligible to work in the United States
- Willing to wear a medical-grade mask at work at all times
- Willing to undergo COVID testing, as needed at family's request
