Job Description:
Award winning Interior Design firm located in Palm Beach Gardens Florida is seeking a full-time controller/bookkeeper to take care of all company accounting tasks. You will be responsible for department strategy, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, bank account management, and reconciliation tasks. In addition, some human resources and administration tasks. To do well in this role you should have previous experience in a controller/bookkeeping and be familiar with Design Manager program. You should have the ability to multitask, manage deadlines and be a team player. We are seeking someone who is energetic and willing to learn new programs, works well in a team environment, and loves a creative fast-paced atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
Create contracts for clients
Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
Reconciliation of all accounts at the end of each month
Monitor financial transactions and reports
Process accounts receivable and payable daily
Data entries
Process checks
Weekly payroll journal
Handle Client accounts: invoicing, deposit entries, monthly statements, project entering/receiving, reviewing project details
Prepare workman’s comp & liability audit paperwork and submit to accountant
Yearly records warehouse inventory
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or associate’s degree with accounting or business administration background; & five years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably within business-services environment
Excellent knowledge of general accounting principles
Detail-oriented and thorough with excellent follow-through
Experience with Design Manager and/or willingness to dive into the software and learn
Ability to prepare, review and understand financial reports for accountant
Strong work ethic
Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently
Experience with Interior Design firm beneficial
Salary 60K-65K commensurate to education & experience, benefit package includes 401K & health plan.
