Rogers Group, headquartered in Nashville, TN is a 115-year-old privately held aggregates and asphalt highway construction company with quarry and asphalt construction operations in 9 states with 3,000 employees. Rogers Group is currently seeking experienced LOWBOY DRIVERS in Tuscumbia, Alabama. This position will support crews and projects in the Tuscumbia area. The successful candidate for this position will have previous experience driving a lowboy and operating some equipment. They must possess a strong commitment to safety excellence. This individual must be safe, self-motivating, have a clean driving record, Class A CDL and prior experience.
The lowboy driver is responsible for using the lowboy trailer to transport heavy equipment to and from various job sites, and in transporting heavy equipment needing repair to the shop.
Wages start at $27hr, Starting Wage Based on Experience!
The lowboy driver may be asked to perform other tasks on the job site and in support of various construction projects, as needed, by the Construction Foremen, or Construction Manager.
Responsibilities
35-hour Weather Guarantee after 30 days of employment, must be available to work 6 days during the seven-day work period. Hours guaranteed up to 35 hours (example: worked 20hrs, Actual Pay 35hrs; worked 38hrs, Actual Pay 38hrs). Weather pay is accrued on weekly accumulation, not hours per day. Holiday pay counts toward the 35-hour guarantee.

Responsibilities
- Must have experience operating detached lowboy trailer and Paver Special lowboy trailers and AC Asphalt Tankers
- Be familiar with Dump Truck Operations
- Provide support on scheduled weekends running lowboys, tankers, and assistance to dump trucks and incident investigations as needed
- Loading, unloading, escorting, and transporting heavy equipment to designated locations.
- Experience securing Heavy Equipment properly prior to transport
- Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
- Motivated – self-starter, able to complete tasks without a large amount of direct supervision.
- Knowledgeable of DOT regulations and monitoring changes.
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment is a plus.
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends.
- Team player.
- Valid CDL-A license.
- Safe driving record.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen.
- Required Valid CDL Class A driver’s license, Tanker Endorsement (Preferred)
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record, with safe driving history
- Possess physical strength, stamina, and coordination to complete assigned duties
- Must be able to carry up to 50lbs independently
- Constant climbing up and down, using three points of contact.
