What are the responsibilities and job description for the Checker position at Rogers Group?
Rogers Group Inc is looking an experienced Grade Checker to verify conformance to stake references and assisting the Grading Foreman in grading operations.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Set grade stakes at the direction of the Grading Foreman
Operate Heavy Equipment
Properly mark grade stakes
Record reference points at the direction of the Grading Foreman
Monitor conformance to stake references
Monitor grading operations in the absence of the Grading Foreman
Provide general labor support to the work site
Use hand tools, such as, but not limited to : Shovel, Rake, Sledgehammer, Power Tools .
Qualifications
Good Math Skills Needed
Effective Communication Skills
Previous experience operating pieces of heavy construction equipment is preferred.
Ability to learn to read and understand grade stakes.
Ability to learn to Interpret the drawings and specifications for the job.
Work in an environment with noise levels that may require hearing protection.
Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours as needed.
Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions.
Willingness to work in a team environment
Able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration requirement.
Must be Drug Free and able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and possess a Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
Must be willing to adhere to RGI and OSHA safety standards.
