What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction intern position at Rogers Group?
Rogers Group is seeking candidates for an INTERNSHIP with our Construction team in Eastern Middle TN. This individual will work on construction projects as assigned by the construction manager.
Whether you have experience in road construction, heavy equipment operating, or traffic control, we have a spot for you.

The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to :
- Smooths freshly poured asphalt, shovels asphalt, or other materials.
- Assist other workers as needed or directed and other duties as assigned by management
- Pushes and pulls asphalt rake to level asphalt to fine grade specifications.
- Able to perform a variety of duties, some which may include site clean-up, maintenance, operating equipment, and other duties as assigned
- Ability to learn quickly
Required Qualifications :
- Must be nearing graduation from a technical / community college or university
- Must have a dedication to safe work practices
- Able to work outdoors in extreme conditions, such as cold, heat, and humidity.
- Able to work flexible hours
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening
- Knowledge of general principles and practices of industrial maintenance, construction, or aggregate production is a plus.
