We are a manufacturing company that has been in business for over 45yrs. We build an array of high-quality molded plastic products ranging from frisbees to ice machines. We are revitalizing our operations and are looking for honest and dependable folks who are interested in growing with our company.
THE POSITION:
THE POSITION:
Supports shop operations through for the care and maintenance of plastic-injection molds. May also assist with troubleshooting, minor repairs and the creation of fixtures.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Mold Maker inspects all new and transferred tools, preparing them for production.
- Identifies and resolves issues, ensuring optimal tool performance.
- Performs preventative maintenance (PM) and cleans tools before storing them.
- May be asked to make minor repairs and modifications to molds, fixtures and other tools using mill, lathe and an array of other traditional equipment.
- Ability to replace standard mold components and spare pins, etc.
- Comfortable working with drawings, blueprints and/or CAD.
- CNC on-site, may be tasked with (or taught) basic machining operations.
HIRING REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 3 years trade experience as Mold Maker, or related field.
- Must have experience specific to plastic injection molding and tools (1 yr min).
- Candidates need to be self-motivated and independent, ready to “roll up your sleeves.”
- Ability to set priorities and work in fast-paced, unstructured environment.
- Must have basic computer skills, knowledge of mathematics and tool-making principles.
- Willingness to work approx. 50hr/wk. (paid overtime)
- Bilingual is a plus (Spanish / English)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
