OPERATIONS MANAGER

SUMMARY:

The Operations Manager is an integral part of the company organization, overseeing inventory management, fleet/equipment, facility needs, and IT to ensure smooth and efficient overall business operations.

REPORTS TO:

Chief Strategy Officer

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITIES:

* Manage Inventory Operations

- Identify/resolve problems in the replenishment process with Warehouse

Manager

- Implement inventory control measures as necessary with Retail Director

- Oversee the PO closing process

- Organize and lead inventory audits on a regular basis

* Manage Company Operations

- Create and enforce new SOPs

- Create reports as needed on KRUNCH for data analysis

- Manage company fleet/equipment needs, policies and procedures

- Manage facility needs (construction/repairs, permits, etc)

- Collabote with HR and Warehouse on safety/OSHA concerns

- Work with cross-functional support teams to improve systems as needed

* Act as POS administrator, IT liason and tech support

- Set up new technology equipment (for stores and employees)

- Ensure all electronic equipment is running properly and efficiently

- Troubleshoot all basic technology related issues (stores and employees)

- Work with 3rd party vendor on POS (Retail Pro) troubleshooting

- Keep inventory of all company equipment

- Create new domain accounts and company emails update lists and track

availability

- Oversee security systems

* Manage Staff – attract, inspire and develop great employees

- Create a cohesive team that is motivated to achieve, grow and be lifelong RG

ambassadors

- Manage the full cycle employment process in coordination with HR

- Ensure that the department is well staffed and turnover is kept to a minimum

- Foster an environment of curiosity and learning

- Communicate effectively and set clear priorities, and expectations

- Train and hold the team accountable to department processes and procedures

- Ensure team has what they need to be successful; remove obstacles

- Hold regular 1-1 meetings (biweekly if 1-5 direct reports; monthly if 6 or more

direct reports)

- Set meaningful goals and objectives for the staff

- Deliver constructive and productive performance reviews

- Manage payroll related functions for the department

- Maintain safety records/logs

- Submit all corporate paperwork accurately and timely, including daily closing

reports

- Maintain up to date logs of pertinent information such as passwords,

keyholders, etc. and store in company specified locations

- Take ownership and accountability for projects as assigned

- Follow safety, fleet and other special protocols

- Uphold all company policies, procedures, standards and safety guidelines -

fairly and consistently

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

* Education Level

- Bachelor’s degree (Business major preferred)

* Knowledge/Experience

- 3 years of professional experience in Operations or similar field (in Retail

preferred)

- Experience or proficient knowledge of fleet and facilities management

- Previous experience with warehousing and replenishment processes helpful

- Track record of driving business results and achieving goals

- Proven record for hiring and developing talent

* Specific Skills

- Retail Pro RIL and POS application experience strongly preferred

- Computer applications (MS office, specifically advanced Excel)

- Project and conflict management

- Relationship building and people management

- Financial acumen

- Ability to lead and inspire others

- Exceptional verbal and written communication

- Strategic and tactical analysis

- Superior organization

- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

* Other

- Must be 18 years old

- Flexible availability including overtime, weekends, and holidays

- Must be able to travel to all store locations, as needed, throughout the

week/weekend

* Physical Abilities/Demands

- Stand or sit for multiple hours at a time

- Look at a computer screen for multiple hours at a time

- Move about the property

- Close visual acuity and able to look at computer screen for major portion of the

day

- Move about the store/property

- Grasp, reach, finger throughout work day

- Talking and Hearing throughout work day

- Grab, reach, push, pull, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, and crouch occassionally

- Safely lift and move up to 50 pounds without restrictions

- Ascend/descend ladders safely as necessary

* Working Conditions/Environment

- Fast-paced environment with multiple simultaneous priorities

- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions

- Potential exposure to insects (ants, mosquitos, etc.)

- Moderate noise levels

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
