Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
Knowledge of PowerSchool, ProFund or similar systems
REPORTS TO: Business Administrator
Hours: 8:00am to 4:00pm
JOB GOAL: To provide human resource support to the Business Administrator and Payroll by assisting in the day-to-day operations of the SAU Personnel Department for Somersworth and Rollinsford School Districts.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administer and maintain all benefits to include group health insurance, dental insurance, NHRS, 403(B), FSA/DCA, Life and Long-Term Disability.
Organize open enrollment annually for all employee benefits for new year
Maintain paid leave time for all employees each school year and offer consistent and accurate records of attendance and paid time off for bi-weekly payroll.
Maintain a system for personnel records for all district employees to provide a comprehensive, efficient, accurate and current record for all matters pertinent to employment, transfer, tenure, retirement, leave, benefits, etc.
Prepares and maintains statistical information for all personnel and submits the necessary reports to individual schools, the district, and other federal agencies.
Work with Superintendent on a variety of employment matters.
Track employee leave for FMLA, LTD, ADA and any other leaves dictated by Collective Bargaining Agreements
Onboarding: Advertise job openings, manage criminal record check, prepare contracts, provide benefit information and assist with all other needs.
Prepares contracts and/or non-renewal notifications for upcoming school year
Possess a high level of comprehension of Collective Bargaining Agreements to be able to perform HR functions accurately
Hiring of Substitute Teachers and work with Substitute Coordinator to manage all substitutes
Processes workers compensation, student accident and property and liability claims
Setup and maintain staff in PowerSchool along with login and security settings and roles
Track non-certified staff and maintain list for Professional Development Binders.
Update health benefit information in accounting system for yearly 1095 tax forms and submit electronically to IRS.
All other duties as assigned by the Business Administrator.
