What are the responsibilities and job description for the Emergency Department Technician position at Rome Health?
Rome Health is seeking Emergency Department Technicians to join our facility. Emergency Department Technicians performs all required tasks necessary to provide the individual with safe, and quality patient care.
The E.D. Technician assists patients with the activities of daily living in an efficient, empathetic and timely manner under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
They are responsible for general patient care to include accurate measurement of vital signs, weights, intake and output, assistance with meals, and special procedures according to established nursing procedures.
Their Duties Will Also Include
Performance of tasks necessary to provide safe, quality patient care.
Answering patient call lights whether that of assigned patient or not, anticipates patient needs, and demonstrates a cooperative attitude when assisting patients.
Collect, label and transport specimens to proper areas upon request.
Perform duties in an accurate and precise manner in crisis and emergency situations when time is essential, as determined by the Clinical Leader/Nurse Manager/Director.

Qualifications
High School graduate or GED
Three months of work experience in an acute care hospital. Experience may include NA, EMT, SN, GN, and Medic inclusive of NA requirements.
