Rondo Energy's mission is to eliminate 15% of global CO2 emissions in 15 years.
To accomplish this mission, Rondo is deploying low-cost, zero-carbon Rondo Heat Batteries to accelerate the deployment of renewable energy and to significantly decarbonize industrial processes that are commonly thought of as "difficult-to-decarbonize". Our Heat Batteries charge from intermittent renewables to provide high temperature, continuous heat for customers safely, reliably, at an unprecedented 98% efficiency - and at a cost point that is lower than any other method.
In this role, you will be responsible for shaping and executing IT strategy, roadmaps, and ensuring robust IT architecture and infrastructure. You'll lead efforts in compliance, security, and cybersecurity, leveraging your experience in enterprise solutions and business continuity. Your role will be pivotal in aligning IT initiatives with organizational goals, enhancing operational efficiency, and safeguarding the integrity and security of our systems.

What You Will Do (key responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to):
- Architect and manage Rondo's IT infrastructure and enterprise architecture, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and company roadmap
- Develop and enforce advanced data security and cybersecurity policies, adhering to Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulatory standards
- Lead strategic planning and optimization of business systems for organizational growth and operational excellence
- Innovate in IT practices, focusing on scalability, efficiency, and technology integration
- Collaborate with various teams to align IT strategies with business objectives for a competitive edge
- Oversee IT budget and resource management, aligning with corporate strategy and financial goals
- Mentor IT teams, promoting continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and professional development
- Engage with stakeholders to integrate technology solutions seamlessly across the organization
What You Will Bring:
- A clear understanding of client/server technology and network architecture
- Outstanding communication - including writing, speaking, and active listening

- Advanced leadership and conflict management skills
- Great project management skills - including organization, planning, time management, and prioritization
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, educational technology, communications, or related fields, or similar certified coursework in applicable fields of study
- ~5 years of Microsoft Windows and iOS computers configuration and management
- An understanding Cyber security problematics and processes
- Proficiency in the administration and support of O365 and Azure AD
- Understanding of security access, networking technologies, IP tunneling
- A proven track record of success in fast-moving, collaborative team environments

This role necessitates being on-site at our Alameda HQ, with up to 20% travel to satellite locations. The estimated annual salary range for this role is $200,000 to $230,000 and it would be eligible for Rondo's excellent benefits listed above plus additional compensation in the form of equity. Please note that some pay bands may have wide ranges of compensation to accommodate candidates' diverse sets of skill levels and experience.
