Job Summary:
Uses Cabinet Vision Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to provide support to engineers by preparing routine layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, sketches, and diagrams. Details to include all views and dimensions necessary for manufacture. Makes copies of drawings and maintains information regarding changes to the database. Possesses mechanical aptitude with the ability to complete basic mathematical calculations using the metric system. Communicates with customers regularly to ensure designs are meeting their needs and/or requirements.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc. On occasion, this position may be required to tour the production floor to asses the quality of output, the general operation of the facility, and its efficiency to meet established goals/deadlines.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position and the hours of work and days are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a one-hour lunch break. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand, of which the employee will be paid overtime (time and a half in earnings).
Required Education and Experience
Graduated high school and has an associated degree in computer-aided drafting and math; or a minimum of two years of education and training using drafting software.
Preferred Education and Experience
Two to three years working with Cabinet Vision drafting software and working with customers.
English required.
Spanish is helpful, but not required.
