Challenges You Will Solve
The Program and Service Delivery team at Roostify is responsible for managing platform and software projects and helping our enterprise business customers adopt new features, consume releases, and manage change. We work with Product, Engineering, Support, and Customer Success teams to ensure that our platform and our customers’ businesses evolve together. We facilitate and enhance Roostify’s product and software delivery lifecycle, and design and tailor the platform to our customer’s business processes and goals, in order to bring our features to market in a predictable manner that exceeds our customer’s expectations.
The Project Manager (Customer) position is responsible for managing multiple software engineering delivery efforts into coordinated releases for our largest and most strategic customers, national banks and mortgage lenders. In short, the Project Manager makes sure that our customer-facing technical projects run smoothly and on time. These efforts could include standard code releases, security updates, environment and infrastructure upgrades, hot fixes, custom interfaces, technical configurations, onboarding and new implementations.
The PM will be expected to wear many hats and remain flexible to handle work that stretches beyond just pure project management. The PM will collaborate across both Roostify’s and our customers’ engineering teams, build schedules and project plans, manage risks and interdependencies, and ultimately ensure high quality and on-time delivery of complex technical projects. The work may include requirements gathering, business and systems analysis, bug triage, training, and hands on technical configuration work. The PM will also contribute best practices and help drive ongoing improvements to our software delivery processes.
What You’ll Do
- Manage multiple software engineering efforts for enterprise customers, ensuring on-time delivery with high quality
- Set up project schedule, key milestones and collaborate with project team members from Product, Engineering, Support, and our customers, to deliver to the schedule
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and manage interdependencies
- Communicate project status, issues, and solutions to all stakeholders
- Hands-on light technical work including bug triage, technical configuration, and solutions design
- Collaborate with Roostify and our customers’ engineering teams to solve issues and drive progress
What You’ll Bring
- 3 years experience managing complex software implementations
- Experience with agile software delivery methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
- Experience with cloud based SaaS infrastructure, related technologies, and a willingness to learn new technologies as needed
- Experience with software delivery and management tools (e.g. JIRA, Zendesk, etc.)
- Experience with project management software a plus, but not required
- Consulting, professional services, or other related experience in delivering technical solutions for large enterprise customers
- Aptitude for, and experience a plus, for working with APIs and related tools such as Postman, working with Splunk or other application logging tools, and working with YAML or other mark-up languages such as XML or JSON.
