Title : Quality Technician / Quality Checker
Location : Hauppauge, NY - 11788
Duration : 03 Months Contract (Possibility of Extension)
Shift : Shift 2(3:30 PM -Midnight)
Pay Rate : $18.50/Hr.
Job Summary:
The Quality Technician I is responsible for supporting the business with QA activities to ensure nonconforming products are not produced and shipped to customers. A critical function to provide inspection support as well as process improvements to sustain and improve product quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Works with team to provide audits and inspections on product quality according to company’s quality-assurance processes.
· Assist with conducting nonconforming materials investigation and report to company’s authorized vendors as appropriate.
· Engages management and team members as required for assistance in addressing new or complex issues.
· Works with team to support new product quality plan implementations.
· Ability to understand technical requirements, delivering output following learned technical framework. Support ISO 9001 QMS
Preferred Education:
· High School or equivalent .
· Preferred Work Experience (years): 0-3 years
Key Skills and Competencies:
· Ability to learn technical information.
· Beginner level skills in Microsoft business applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
