Job Title: Lab Technician

Duration: 12 months (High Possibility of Extension)

Location: Tipton, IN (46072)

Job Summary

• Perform quality testing procedures in accordance with ISTA, AOSA, and sampling guidelines, and assess testing requirements according to established guidelines.
• Verify and record quality test results with consistent attention to detail.
• Perform all duties with a high level of accuracy in order to maintain the integrity of quality results.
• Assist in monitoring the proper functioning and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Maintain a clean, healthy and safe working environment in compliance with Safety and Health guidelines and housekeeping practices.
• Train on cross-functional tasks in other functions of the laboratory on processes that may need additional support during high volume or critical periods.
• Monitor product for quality assurance and ensure activities meet the requirements of the Quality Plan.
• Actively seek to reduce redundant and unnecessary testing.
• Recommend and implement measures to improve productivity, performance, methods, troubleshoot issues, and identify quality defects.
• Develop and maintain good communication and rapport with site personnel.

Education & experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Detail oriented with a history of transactional excellence and accuracy
• Basic Microsoft Office skill level
• Willingness and ability to work with repetitive tasks and motions while maintaining high attention to detail
• Willingness and ability to work overtime and weekends when necessary
• Willingness and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• this is a job with a lot of standing/sitting for long periods of time - some of both, but some days could be a lot of one or the other.

• Quality Testing Lab - evaluating & testing plant samples
• No Experience Necessary
• Attendance is MANDATORY: Candidate must be available every day for first 14-30 days for training. This is a MUST. If they have an appointment that will interfere with the work schedule, do not submit.
• Repetitive motions: standing and sitting for extended time.

Job Types: Contract, Temporary

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Supplemental Pay:

• Bonus pay
