Registered ICU Nurse

Position: Registered Nurse ICU
Location: Sault St. Marie, MI
Shift: 12 Hours Night Shift
Contract: 13 weeks
Pay Package on 36 hours weekly
Stipend $1162 Non Taxable
Taxable $1646 On W2
Total Gross $2808 weekly

Roles and Responsibility
Patient Assessment:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health status, including vital signs, neurological status, cardiac function, and respiratory status.
• Monitor and interpret diagnostic data, such as laboratory results and radiographic studies.
• Critical Monitoring:
• Continuously monitor and assess critically ill patients, including those on life support systems (ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, etc.).
• Respond promptly to changes in patients' conditions and take appropriate actions.
• Medication Administration:
• Administer medications as prescribed, including intravenous (IV) medications, vasoactive drugs, and other critical care medications.
• Monitor for potential side effects and adverse reactions.
• Ventilator Management:
• Manage and monitor patients on mechanical ventilation, ensuring proper settings and addressing any issues related to oxygenation and ventilation.
• Collaborate with respiratory therapists and physicians to optimize respiratory care.
• Collaboration with Healthcare Team:
• Communicate effectively with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to discuss and plan patient care.
• Patient Advocacy:
• Advocate for patients and ensure their needs and concerns are addressed.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to make informed decisions about patient care.
