Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our DevOps team. This team is focused on scalability, service health, and infrastructure investments necessary to make DevOps a great experience for our growing customer base. We also deliver features that allow our customers to administer their organizations and maintain a secure and compliant software supply chain. Finally, we invest in our own developer experience, increasing the velocity of our own teams and reducing costs to support and run our services at scale.

Due to COVID-19, this is a temporary work from home role but will ultimately work in our Atlanta, GA office part of the time.

What You’ll Be Doing

The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will be part of DevOps organization, leading QAOps initiatives, and building common modules and helping development teams to automate UI and API services and perform load testing. This individual collaborates with automation team to define CI/CD pipelines to perform automated testing for various products and collaborates with the Development teams to automate the products enabling rapid releases to production.

This individual will also be responsible for setting up the framework and guiding the development teams to set up and perform load testing via CI/CD pipelines. 

• You will be part of DevOps organization building common modules and helping development teams to automate UI and API services and perform load testing.
• Drive defect prevention with automation.
• Address the development teams issues and roadblocks in automation and performance testing.
• Develop, code, and implement complex test plans and test cases.
• Maintain automation framework and infrastructure.
• Create software tools, debug code, and implement automated testing.
• Guide, show, and collaborate with development teams to automate their testing.
• Participate in special or customer-specific projects as assigned and implement Quality Assurance efforts.
• Research and develop an understanding of the requirements for the product, including how the product is used by CBORD customers.
• May coach and mentor junior staff.

Basic Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in development, research, and product testing.
• Knowledge of Selenium, Postman/SoapUI and performance testing tools like Load Runner/JMeeter/K6. K6 experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of public cloud (AWS, GCP and Azure).
• Excellent analytical skills as well as communication skills both verbal and written. We are a distributed team so we’re extra mindful about communication.
• Ability to apply excellent test strategy knowledge and methodologies to design, develop, and execute complex software tests.
• Proven knowledge of the software development life cycle and solid understanding of qualify software.
• Good programming and scripting skills, preferably in an object-oriented programming language.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field experience or equivalent combination of industry related professional experience and education.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a member of an Agile software development team, preferably implementing Scrum/Kanban.
• AWS experience is a plus.
