What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transporter Team Leader position at Roper St. Francis Healthcare?
Coordinates and leads the activities of Transportation teammates engaged in the transportation of patients, equipment, and supplies, in the hospital environment. This role provides excellent customer service and also participates in the transportation of patients and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school graduate or GED.
Experience: Two years hospital or customer service experience.
Licensure/Certification: Must have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card.

Knowledge/Skills: Must have good communication and inter-personnel skills. Must be able to work independently, handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions, and possess the ability to remain calm in a hostile or fast-paced environment. Must be able to push beds, stretchers, and other hospital equipment and lift up to 50lb. Must stay on feet for long periods of time and be familiar with policy and procedures. Must use proper body mechanics at all times.
Other: Requires a mature individual who projects a professional appearance and maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive and work related information.
Contacts: In continuous contact with most importantly the patient and their families, but also their fellow staff members, the nurses, department managers and other staff members of the hospital staff. Has occasional contact with the doctors, hospital administration, contractors or vendors.
