$500 sign-on bonus available.
PURPOSE/FUNCTION/SUMMARY (TRAINING NEEDS)
Responsible to receive parts and materials, unload trucks, process incoming materials, and maintain accurate records. The Receiving & Warehouse Clerk will cross-train in Shipping as back-up.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Receives freight from trucking companies.
- Verifies and records all items received.
- Carefully and accurately maintains Receiving records for requested categories.
- Notifies supervisor of major discrepancies, under-shipments, or substitutions.
- Completes information on damage claims.
- Transports materials on receiving dock with a hand truck, forklift or other vehicle as needed.
- Puts parts and materials on shelves.
- Pulls parts.
- Performs other clerical duties.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
1. Education/Training: High School or GED equivalent.
2. Experience/Skills: Ability to accurately sort, count and verify items. Good understanding of warehouse procedures. Good organizational skills and great attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft office and inventory software to maintain records, input data and create reports.
3. Comfortable with heights.
4. Ability to drive forklift or willing to learn.
5. Valid driver’s license.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
