RFS is currently seeking a Controller who has ample experience in the nonprofit industry. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and will oversee the following responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee all accounts, general ledgers, A/P, A/R, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements
• Plan, direct, and coordinate all accounting operational functions for multiple non-profit clients
• Coordinate and prepare internal and external financial statements and management reports/KPI's
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual adjusting and closing processes
• Analyze billing, expenses, and job costing
• Perform financial analysis of balance sheets and income statements
• Oversee regulatory reporting including corporate tax planning and compliance
• Administer and classify grants, including expenditure analysis and approval
• Supervise and train accounting staff

QUALIFICATIONS

• Accounting or Finance degree from a U.S. institution
• At least 5 years of non-profit accounting experience and knowledge is required
• Active CPA license is highly preferred
• Strong leadership, management, and communication skills
• Advanced Excel skills and solid data management skills
• Proficiency in Intacct (required) or one or more of the following softwares: QuickBooks, NetSuite, Costpoint
