Job Description

We are seeking an Application Developer to build a Banner process that can be run in Banner Administrative application. The process will be written using pl/sql and bash.

Skills required:

• Database knowledge

• Must be able to create PL SQL packages, procedures, functions, views, and tables in an Oracle database environment

• Must have 5 to 7 years of programming experience associated with Banner HR/PAYROLL/FINANCE modules in a MEP’d environment

• MEP’d - Multiple Entity Processing – We have 5 institutions under the system related to the HR/PAYROLL applications, and 8 institutions for STUDENT/FINANCIAL AID/ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE applications, and FINANCE is only MEP’d in the FIXED ASSETS and GRANTS AND CONTRACTS modules

• Must be versed in utilizing Banner delivered API’s

• Must have a database development IDE capable of working with Oracle version 19c or greater

• Must understand BASH scripting

• Requires good written and verbal communication skills (must speak and write English fluently and be understood)

• Must be able to read/write project/technical requirements, create process flowcharts and design diagrams

Application Developer Responsibilities:

• Data Flow Diagram and process description

• Coding of Process

• Testing Plan

• Testing Results

• Implementation Plan

• Process or Application Documentation

• Daily Status Report

Training:

• Must be able to complete training in 2 weeks – This consists of how we create Banner jobs, code promotions, Eprint definitions

• Must complete system HIPAA and FERPA training before working
