ACADEMIC AFFAIRS ANNOUNCES A VACANCY IN THE HEALTH SCIENCES DIVISION
POSITION: Professor, Nursing Science
Description of Duties: Teach fifteen (15) credit hours per semester and maintain a minimum of fifteen (15) office hours per week. Responsibilities include the development and maintenance of course syllabi and materials. Teach collaboratively within the Nursing Science Program to include: didactic, laboratory and clinical components. Faculty responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting in student advisement; committee work for the Program and the College; and assisting with skills lab testing. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Program Director. This is a nine (09) month, tenure-track position. The hours may vary and may require some evenings and weekends. This position is subject to random drug testing as set forth in the College's Policies and Procedures Manual.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and willingness to pursue a graduate degree in nursing at a minimum rate of six (6) semester hours/calendar year. Registered Nurse holding a valid non-restricted license to practice in the state of Oklahoma. Two (2) years full-time equivalent experience in a clinical setting prior to first date of employment as a nursing faculty member. Light lifting up to 10 lbs and light carrying up to 10 lbs. Ability to reach above shoulder. Periods of time spent sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending and stooping.
Desired Qualifications
Experience in medical-surgical nursing, women's and children's health and/or psych-mental health. Previous teaching experience in a program of nursing education including online education.
