Position Summary:

The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing supplies and products and ensuring accuracy, completeness, and conditions of materials. The Coordinator works with Production Planning, Purchasing, Inventory Control and Shipping to help coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to daily and weekly production schedules.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Inventory and Shipping Responsibilities:

  • Receive and stock goods accurately via ERP system.
  • Verify labeling of raw materials and label materials prior to stocking if necessary.
  • Organize and stock shelves and rotate inventory per FIFO (First In, First Out) process.
  • Accurately and efficiently create Shipping Documents via ERP.
  • Package material for shipping and label accurately for outgoing shipments, including finished goods and miscellaneous supplies, which include machinery and sensitive and fragile measurement equipment.
  • Ship packages via UPS, FedEx, and DHL web interfaces.
  • Accurately and efficiently withdraw goods, both physically and within the ERP system, to fulfill Work Order demands.
  • Investigates and resolves issues with Work Order material discrepancies.
  • Ensures the inventory area is organized, clean, and efficient at all times and meets all compliance factors.
  • Maintains regular, predictable attendance.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Production Planning Responsibilities:

  • Ensure daily production requirements are achieved to meet customer expectation.
  • Analyze and prepare documents needed for production.
  • Maintains the production schedule and other reports as required.
  • Follow-up as required with all teams to expedite flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectation.
  • Complete status reports for production progress, work in process, and inventory if applicable.
  • Interact with shop floor management daily to resolve issues regarding manufacturing efficiencies or additional information as requested from Manufacturing, Customer Service and Accounting.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Purchasing Responsibilities:

  • Review and issue purchase orders via purchasing portal for requests of consumable and MRO supplies.
  • Assist Purchasing Team with supplier returns for NCMR items.
  • Review MRP and issue purchase orders for consumable items used in production.
  • Enter supplier delivery confirmations via ERP system.
  • Assist Purchasing Team as needed with MRP review, PO edits, PO confirmations, and shipment status.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Experience:

  • HS Diploma (or equivalent) required.
  • Prior experience with both domestic and international shipping procedures, including ACE interface required.
  • 1 year experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
  • One year of ERP system experience desired.
  • Prior experience with production scheduling.
  • Prior experience in lean manufacturing and/or 5S facility desired.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Akron, PA 17501: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
