Summary:
Evaluates and makes recommendations specific to integrated production systems for managing industrial production processes including, but not limited to, human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis, and production coordination. All responsibilities of this position are carried out to meet the goals of providing a safe, clean, efficient work environment, as well as cost/production efficiency, and measurably increased product output.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Works with managers regarding engineering matters specific to manufacturing methods, process improvements, cell/department layouts, facilities, and/or equipment design while maintaining environmental, health and safety initiatives.
Recommends methods for improving utilization of personnel, material, and utilities.
Manages prototype and pre-production preparation.
Develops manufacturing methods, labor utilization standards, and cost analysis systems to promote efficient staff, equipment, and facility utilization.
Defines and documents production processes recognizing variables relating to various product specifications.
Plans and establishes sequence of operations to fabricate and assemble parts/products and to promote efficient utilization of resources.
Reviews production schedules, engineering specifications, orders, and all other related information to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities.

Demonstrates ability to use logic and/or scientific thinking to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problem solving including but not limited to:
Collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
Determines causes of operating errors prior to failure as well as after and seeks an efficient/proactive method to correct and/or prevent the error.
Demonstrates a working knowledge of principles and processes involved in business and organization planning, coordination, and execution including strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, and production methods.
Demonstrates a working knowledge of design techniques, principles, tools, and instruments involved in the production and use of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Demonstrates the ability to obtain a working knowledge Microsoft Suites, Vantage, and CAD software.
Education and/or Experience:
At minimum: Industrial Engineering, or relative degree from an accredited college or university, required.
At least 2 years of related work experience, preferred.
