Area Coordinator

Position Purpose

Provides courteous customer service, maintains merchandise displays, and performs departmental administrative functions to enhance overall customer satisfaction, sales, profitability, and store standards.

Essential Functions

• Provide positive customer service by treating customers in a courteous and knowledgeable manner in order to maximize customer satisfaction and sales.
• Guide and develop Customer Service Associates in the assigned area.
• Set and maintain features with proper signing.
• Place and maintain price removal labels in the correct location.
• Implement and maintain store signing programs consistent with Company policies and procedures.
• Maintain merchandise presentation within the department in a neat and orderly manner.
• Set and maintain planograms and seasonal flows within prescribed timelines.
• Coordinate the work of the Customer Service Associates in the assigned area.
• Complete PCA worksheets in a timely and accurate manner.
• Adhere to assigned work schedule in order to provide predictability in workload scheduling.
• Ensure associates in assigned area follow Company policies and procedures in order to maximize customer service, sales, and store profitability.
• Work with Pull Specialist to ensure count accuracy and in stocks are maintained.

Ancillary Functions

• Price and stock planogram and feature merchandise as required.
• Assemble fixtures and change shelving as directed.
• Provide support to checkout and customer service areas as required.
• Provide support to store management as requested.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1-2 years of retail experience
• Fundamental reading and math skills
• Ability to effectively communicate in English

Working Conditions

• Retail store environment where extended periods of standing are required
• Occasional lifting and maneuvering of merchandise and displays
• Occasional use of ladders required
• Scheduled work hours may vary, to include evenings and weekends
