Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Facilities to oversee the maintenance and operations of our facilities in Bridgehampton and East Hampton, NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC, electrical, engineering, and mechanical knowledge, along with excellent project management and supervisory skills.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of facility maintenance, including HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and general repairs
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure the longevity and efficiency of our facilities
- Supervise a team of cleaning and maintenance staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Coordinate and oversee facility improvement projects, including renovations and upgrades
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all employees
- Collaborate with other departments to address facility-related needs and provide support as necessary
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inspections
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in facilities management or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in facilities management or maintenance management
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Proficient in reading blueprints and technical manuals
- Ability to fabricate and repair equipment as needed
